“A Selection of 8 rows were hand-picked and fermented in new 700L French oak rotating barrels for 8 weeks on skins, pressed and fed back into the same barrels for 12 months’ maturation. You might have expected the oak to overwhelm the fruit, but it doesn’t; nor has there been any excessive extraction of tannins. All up, a really enjoyable cherry-filled Sangiovese.”
