Sam Miranda Sangiovese
Our first release of our single vineyard Sangiovese. Displaying typical savoury
and dark cherry characteristics with fine earthy tannins. Gentle handling from
harvest to bottling with minimal intervention the process. The finished wine is
unfiltered with its soul intact.
Every bit of loving care has gone into this wine. Sourced from 8 individually
selected rows that were treated with kid gloves. Handpicked and fermented in
new 700 Lt French Oak rotating barrels for 8 weeks on skins before being
pressed and gravity fed back into the same barrels for 12 months maturation in
the cellar door. A wine that is all about the wonderful textures and tannins of
this noble variety.
Fruit was hand selected off 8 select rows of Sangiovese at our Myrrhee vineyard.

“A Selection of 8 rows were hand-picked and fermented in new 700L French oak rotating barrels for 8 weeks on skins, pressed and fed back into the same barrels for 12 months’ maturation. You might have expected the oak to overwhelm the fruit, but it doesn’t; nor has there been any excessive extraction of tannins. All up, a really enjoyable cherry-filled Sangiovese.” Drink now - 2023
