Sam Miranda Sauvignon Blanc 2011

THIS VINTAGE HAS SOLD OUT!

The Wine
The wine has classic varietal freshness with the added complexity of the wild barrel fermentation components of 10% savagnin and 5% petit manseng. The refreshing palate is balanced by the natural acidity of the grapes. A style for all occasions!

Winemaking
The fruit was crushed and destemmed, chilled, and the free-run and very gentle juice pressings were separated, settled overnight and the clean juice fermented to dryness in stainless steel, at approximately 12 degrees celsius with the barrel fermented components of Petit Manseng and Savagnin blended prior to bottling.

Viticulture
Grown on the North Eastern facing slopes of the upper King Valley at the base of Powers Lookout. Double wire trellising and a split canopy ensure optimal light penetration to help the fruit develop ripe varietal flavours.
