Botrytis – Riesling Verduzzo


Botrytis wines are one of my favorite styles of wine. It is always a miracle how vibrant and bright these wines turn out in the bottle when you consider they are made from grapes affected by the Botrytis Fungi that causes the grapes to literally rot on the vine.

The resultant dessert wines are among some of the world’s greatest wines and can age gracefully for 20-30 years.

The palate is luscious yet finishes with a bright grip of acid on the palate. A perfect match for Pannacotta, Pavlova or as an accompaniment to a cheese board.
